Featured schools

WWF has produced "digital stories" to highlight two inspring examples of environmental education action: Hukanui Primary School and Lincoln High School
Hukanui Primary School

The Living Room
This short film features Hukanui Primary School's eco-classroom project: The Living Room; a recipient of WWF’s Environmental Education Action Fund.  It is the first project of its type in New Zealand and has resulted in the creation of a dedicated environmental education space at the school that exemplifies the principles of sustainability.

Lincoln High School

Mahoe Reserve Project
This digital story features Lincoln High School’s Mahoe Reserve project, a recipient of WWF’s Environmental Education Action Fund.
What began as a pilot project to plant trees in one small area of the school has become an award-winning “living classroom” where thousands of people have experienced hands-on lessons in biodiversity.

WWF-New Zealand acknowledges the generous contributions of staff and students at Hukanui School and Lincoln High School in the creation of these digital stories.  Thanks for your time, energy and goodwill.  The spirit with which you strive to make the world a better place is inspiration to us all.  Nga mihi nui ki a koutou.
